Northern Upper Palatinate Forest Natural Park is located in northeast Bavaria on the border to the Czech Republic. With a total surface area of 138,000 hectares, the territory includes the entire rural district of Neustadt an der Waldnaab, the southern parts of the rural district of Tirschenreuth, and the urban district of Weiden in der Oberpfalz.
