Round-trip hike in the area surrounding Weiden

Discover the most natural side of Weiden by taking a leisurely walk on the Oberpfälzer Waldverein’s “Rundwanderweg”. This stretch around the area surrounding Weiden, the city of Max Reger, is 20.5 miles long and its glorious views and impressions are captivating.

It starts at the hiking trail information board in Großparkplatz Naabwiesen next to the central bus station/ZOB (Dr.-Pfleger-Straße/Weigelstraße intersection). The route leads along the idyllic side channel and the Weiden city limits through quiet, wooded areas and back to the starting point. You’ll find pubs and restaurants by the side of the trail at regular intervals where you can take a break and get refreshments for the rest of the hike.
