Outdoor swimming pools

Schätzlerbad, in the north of Weiden, is an outdoor swimming pool El Dorado for big and small. Here, you’re guaranteed to cool off and have fun in your free time in the summer months. For athletes, there are eight lanes in the 50-meter (164-foot) sports pool. In addition, you can take a swim in the beautiful natural lake on the complex.

There is a children’s wading pool shaped like a ship and a playground provided for the little ones. Schätzlerbad also offers its visitors: a pool for non-swimmers, a water slide, a wave pool, a miniature golf course, and beach volleyball courts.

Refreshments are also well taken care of – with its lovely patio by the natural lake, Gaststätte Schätzlerbad invites you to stay and have a bite to eat. There are kiosks available that sell snacks. Whether it’s fries, candy, or a delicious ice cream, there’s something here for everyone.

The city leisure complex Stadtbad  is a wonderful place for rest and relaxation. Idyllically situated directly on the Waldnaab, there is gymnastics and playground equipment available for children as well as two stainless steel bathing pools. Those who also want to do something for their health have the chance to experience the inspiring and healing effects of the element of water in the Kneipp facility here.

On the culinary side, the Stadtbad offers a comfortable restaurant with a beer garden under lovely, shady chestnut trees.
On balmy summer evenings, barbecue fans are catered for too, as they can prepare and enjoy their barbecue specialties on the barbecues provided.
